Adventure Workshops with TLC - Field Trips for Teachers

Exciting opportunities for earning professional development contact hours, HQT Certification or graduate credit while networking and exploring exotic (and some not so exotic) locations.

One of the ways we have been able to maintain our levels of energy and expertise has been through pursuit of field experience opportunities.  We have now begun a program where we can combine fun with networking and learning.  Through association with state and local science professional organizations and with university support, we are arranging full immersion, inquiry based, content rich field trips.

We are currently planning  the following adventures.

Lake Erie Islands Cruise - May 2011

Networking, geo-nerding and socializing aboard the Goodtime I.This cruise leaves from downtown Sandusky stopping at Kelly’s Island where we will ride a golf-cart caravan to the Glacial Grooves State Park and visit a fossil rich Devonian limestone quarry. Back aboard the Goodtime, we will enjoy lunch on the way to South Bass Island and the Village. Here we can rent bikes, explore the caves and enjoy the Perry’s Monument view of the archipelago. We are also attempting to make arrangements for a tour of Ohio State ’s Stone Laboratory. contact_us@TLCLearningConsultants.org

Marine Ecology of South Florida (MESF)
